Vehicles

I have always taken an interest in creating and modifying a wide variety of vehicles. I have a deep appreciation of classic cars, and motorcycles. I rarely find the time to work on stuff like this anymore, but I do take the opportunity when I can.

Growing up, I always had an interest in a variety of vehicles. My first motorcycle was a suzuki that I salvaged from a junk pile. I fixed up the engine, and shifted it with a vise-grip pliers. I learned to ride the hard way on that bike. I always prefer to buy cars with some character rather than the ordinary, practical alternatives. I also owned a '91 LeBaron convertable which was nice, but too boring to list here. ;)

Dad's station wagon with some fresh paint. This car has been almost everywhere in the country, including several road trips to Mardi Gras. Nicknames include "the hovercraft" and "the casual cruiser" This car had character to begin with- the ever changing paint job just added to the fun!

My very first Motorcycle- a garbage picked Suzuki. I rebuilt this wreck rescued from a scrap pile. Note the vise-grips used for a shifter.

My first daily driver cycle- a 1982 Yamaha Maxim 550. This bike was my only transportation to and from class starting my Junior year at college. A scenic 12 minute drive to campus.

1973 Ford Mustang fastback, I believe this shot is after my 2nd engine replacement. Lots of custom parts inside.

My '85 Maxim. After I "donated" my '82 to the City of Chicago's department of revenue I replaced it with a more refined and reliable ride.

My short lived project jeep- 1978 CJ7 318ci

My dream bike- the V-max. My current cycle, I got it with less than 2k miles, and have been loading miles onto it ever since. I will probably be content with this one for quite a while.

Cody at the wheel of my current project- 1991 Chevy Camaro 350ci

Dad's 747 Sailboat in Wisconsin. I plan on getting my own sailboat or possibly motorboat in the near futre.

The latest addition to the family. Yes, it's a 1992 LT1 Corvette convertible. Driving this car makes me happy. It is by far the most impractical car I have ever owned. It has no trunk. No, seriously- no trunk! It does have a 6 speed transmission though! :)
