This
project was one third of a "measure, mark, cut" assignment
we had been given. This prototype represents a concept I had for
the 'cut' requirement.
Basically,
an ordinary saw blade set with an adjustable connecting shaft.
This item could be used to trim otherwise unreachable branches
and foliage from trees. The handle featured a form fitting grip
and a secondary handle for extra stability. The shaft itself was
a sqaure drive shaft which enabled the length to be adjustable.
The motor drive and controls would be located in the base of the
unit.
The
model shown was made from a wooden dowel, metal cylinder, saw
blade, plaster and rubber grip (shaped to form) and miscellaneous
materials.
